Letterboxd. Basically the main feature is a log of the movies you've seen and the reviews you left for them, but they found a way to turn it into a social media site.
I've got an account. Wanna see the rec lists I've been making?
[And she sends two links to her Letterboxd accounts: a public one for Random Play (obviously called RandomPlay) and a less popular one going by ambertears. The RP Letterboxd has a large variety of rec lists—Best of the Eighties, Best of the Nineties, Most Terrifying Horror Movies, Most Romantic Movies For Valentine's Day, that kind of thing. It's the sort of thing you'd expect a business centered around movies to have, and there aren't many reviews coming from the account.
Belle's personal account, ambertears, is a bit more shitpost-y and significantly more active as a reviewer. One rec list is entitled "movies to zone out and eat hot chip to" while another is entitled "movies where keanu reeves beats somebody up and stares soulfully into a woman's eyes" which for some reason includes a rom-com?]
if you want I can walk you through getting an account! It's free, I just pay for extra features on the RP one bc it's part of the business.
[Hahaha he won't think about the horror movies, thanks! Just scroll quick past those. And the Romantic movies for that matter but for entirely different reasons. A lot of the most popular movies he's never seen before but heard of all the time. For obvious reasons he never got around to watching them. Hard to sit and movie watch when you're on a rampage through the EU countryside.
But also.]
You know I already got your membership, right? Is this also part of your pitch or something?
[have you considered she's just trying to be friendly ragnothy.]
I dunno, you said something about action movies? I don't really care either just. Pick whatever the hell you want. There's probably a good chance I haven't seen it.
No shit, promise! You're not the first person to tell me they haven't seen a popular movie, so I won't judge.
Plus, half the fun of introducing people to movies they've never seen before, for me, is watching how they react to all the twists and turns of the story. There's something to be said about seeing a movie through new eyes.
[... he still feels like there's a catch here. but he's also a little bit stupid. and also doesn't dislike belle. and knows she's important to harumasa. so.]
Sure? Works for me?
[he's so fucking bad at this it's easier when he can just tell someone no but UNFORTUNATELY Belle has to be one of the FEW PEOPLE that DOESN'T give him a headache so he'd feel bad telling her no without reason.]

Why would anyone want to turn something into a social media site? In THIS economy?
... but, well, he'll humor Belle because she's chill so far and is Harumasa's friend wait who said that last part?]

I just want to hang out with you.

Completely unaware of how fucking sad this sounds:]
Why?
no subject
Also the fact you're asking why I wanna hang out with you makes me really sad for you. Please let me show you some silly action movies.
no subject
Shit, reading it back it does sound kind of pathetic doesn't it.
But also Belle please stop being so sweet and kind and nice it's making Ragna feel feelings.]
Alright, alright, fine. When's a good time?

What kind of movies do you look forward to watching, anyway?

[Just don't pick a horror movie.
(do it pick a horror movie.)]

Well, I'm very fond of action movies ngl, but since you've said that there's a good chance you haven't seen a lot of the good stuff, I'll ease you in.
how about The Little Mermaid? The original animated version, I mean. [Why does she have to specify this, ugh, Disney, your greed knows no bounds.]
no subject
well sort of because now he has to be Honest about something that might get him grilled by the movie store manager.]
... You better not give me shit about this or I'm gonna be pissed, but.
I've never actually seen the original Little Mermaid.
so sure, that works for me.
[GASP!!!!]
