She was annoyingly fucking peppy all the damn time, I'd be more surprised if they wouldn't get along. But she's been gone a long time, I wasn't gonna fall for that ship's bullshit again.
I miss her.
I'll be damned if she's mocked by anyone but me.
[... God he almost can't believe he wrote that out but now he can't unsend it (20). Maybe he didn't care at this point if Noctis knew about it, he already opened the can of worms.]
Yeah, we did. Now it's just picking up the pieces I guess.
i miss him too. we're probably always going to miss them both, they were a part of us for so long. the ship using them and our guilt against us was just beyond the pale for it.
i'm not in too many pieces. i know a lot of people got hit worse with what the ship was doing. me, i just got a little bit hurt, and that was easy enough to deal with.
what about you? do you need company or just someone to text with?
[God knows "what if I were there" has lingered in Ragna's mind for two lifetimes now. In his last one and before coming to this damn city he just had too much to do and he could ignore it.]
At least it didn't make you do something you'd regret.
[Yes it's a little targeted good for you Noctis!!
As for the matter of company he didn't respond. However, if Noctis is anywhere near the park outskirts he might find Ragna there.]
[I wasn't gonna fall for that ship's bullshit again. Implying he'd done so before.
Of course Noctis is near the park outskirts. In fact he's on his way out of the park, hauling along a bucket of fish, because neither cars in lakes or spaceships are going to stop him from having that afternoon of fishing he'd been trying to have when the goddamned Event Horizon yanked him into its bowels, fishing gear and all. He makes a detour the second he spots Ragna's distinctive white hair and calls:]
I'd offer some of my catch but I think we're all kind of traumatized by the words "fishing trip" at this point.

he wasn’t—like that hallucination on the ship. not really. even the king’s father—he let me go to school with everybody else.
we all made it back, at least. i honestly wasn’t sure.

[No, he will not be responding to that either thank you.
So Noctis finding him in the park was, in fact, the best course of action to get any sort of reaction or response going forward.
But Ragna was very not happy about that. Then again, when was he ever happy?]
You couldn't have found a different place to fish than here? I'm minding my own damn business, you should consider trying it.
